Mullis Race Cars was founded by Bill Mullis and Ed Richardson, who went on to win two NHRA Super Comp World Championships in Mullis built machines.  When business interests led the duo of Mullis and Richardson in other directions, the Mullis Race Cars business was sold to employee and fellow sportsman competitor Brian Forrester.  In late 2006, Tom Edmunds and Charlie Weser stepped in to purchase the company from Forrester, who is still a big part of the day-to-day operations.  All the while, Mullis Race Cars has continued to fabricate premier racing vehicles for Super Comp, Top Dragster, and bracket competition.

The current Mullis Race Cars regime includes a talented and experienced staff, with a strong and successful background in sportsman racing.  Brian Forrester brings years of industry experience and multiple national event victories to the Mullis team.  Sales representative Troy Williams, Jr. is one of the most successful sportsman racers of the current era, with an IHRA World Championship, B&M Series Championship, and Million Dollar Race victory to his credit, in addition to countless national, divisional, and big dollar bracket titles.  Wiring and assembly manager Todd Burks is a multi-time national top ten finisher, and has won countless big dollar bracket events over the last decade, as has assembler Jon Siegel.  Shop foreman Joe Chance is a longtime bracket competitor, as is co-owner Tom Edmunds.  In essence, nearly every Mullis Race Cars employee is an experienced competitor who understands your racing needs.
